 Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

How to determine the quality of an aftermarket toner cartridge.

I'm sure it seems that almost daily you receive phone calls from people that want you to try their remanufactured, recycled, recharged, or re-engineered toner cartridges.  With the high costs of new printer supplies, the aftermarket toner cartridges offer valuable cost savings, but a what additional cost?  A sales person will say anything to get you to try their product.  "We get 50% more yield out of our cartridge than the OEM." (OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer - HP, Canon, Xerox, Lexmark, etc.)  "Our cartridges never fail!"  "We get a nicer print out of our cartridge than the OEM."

When someone makes these claims to you, ask them to back up their statements with an independent test.  As with everything, in the end, you get what you pay for.  Here at Laser Source, we live by one simple rule:  "We will not sell any product to customer that we would not use ourselves."  We back that statement up with an independent test results that were generated at the Rochester Institute Of Technology's Toner Cartridge Evaluation Lab located at the National Center for Resource, Recovery, and Remanufacturing on the RIT campus.  (Click here to view the RIT lab.)
